If the Domestic Territory is the neighborhood right around a movie's home base, the foreign territory is everywhere else in the entire world. It simply means every country outside of the United States and Canada.
Movies are usually sold territory by territory, and foreign territory Distribution Rights are often broken down further into individual countries or regions, like France, Japan, or Latin America, each sold in its own separate deal, often through a Presale.
